Windows 11: Managing Multiple Displays
When connecting your Windows 11 computer to multiple screens/monitors, you can choose whether to show the same content on all screens, or to use each screen independently.
- Right-click on the desktop and choose “Display Settings” from the menu to access the window shown below.
- Click and drag to move the numbered boxes (1) around to match the location of your monitors. This will make moving between monitors more natural.
- Click the drop-down menu (2) to choose between extending the displays or duplicating the displays.
- You can select one of the boxes representing your computer monitors, and mark it as the main display (3). Any time you open a new window, it will appear on the main display.
* You can also use Windows Key + P on your keyboard or the F8 key on most laptops to quickly change between Duplicated and Extended displays.
